ASTM D4168 Standard Test Methods for Transmitted Shock of Foam-in-Place Cushioning Materials  Used to develop transmitted shock curves for foam-in-place materials. 
U.S. Federal Specification PPP-C-1752   Cushioning Material, Packaging, Polyethylene Foam  Material requirements and test methods for polyethylene foams used in U.S. government packaging applications; includes anti-static and flame-retardant grades. Note: This was discontinued in 1997. 
U.S. Military Specification MIL-B-81705 Barrier Materials, Flexible, Electrostatic-Free, Heat Sealable  Specifications of flexible barrier materials (i.e., film, bags) for packaging devices sensitive to electrostatic discharge. 
U.S. Military Specification MIL-C-26861 Cushioning Material, Resilient Type, General  Classifies materials into classes and grades according to cushioning performance. 
U.S. Military Specification MIL-C-48642 Cushioning Material, Unicellular Polyethylene Foam (For Packaging Purposes)  Original U.S. government specification for polyethylene foam for packaging. (Canceled in 1974 and replaced with U.S. Federal Specification PPP-C-1752). 
U.S. Military Specification MIL-P-26514 Polyurethane Foam, Rigid or Flexible, for Packaging  Material requirements and test methods for polyurethane foams and foam products for U.S. military packaging applications. 
CID-A-A-59135/CID-A-A-59136   Material requirements and test methods for polyethylene foams used in U.S. government packaging applications; includes anti-static and flame-retardant grades.
